Platis Yialos is a very nice beach.
Platis Yialos is a very nice beach. There is a charge for the use of the sunbeds which is quite expensive. There is a good beach bar called Yialo Yialo. They serve good food and the staff are very nice in there.
Do not go to the DK Oyster bar, this is the bar with the black umbrella's outside on the beach. They have a terrible reputation for ripping people off, sometimes for 100's of Euros. This happened to me a number of years ago and happened to another resident in our hotel this year. She was charged 500 Euros for not very many drinks and something to eat!

The beach is well organised, with many restaurant options. There’s a 5 stars hotel, with a beach bar called Branco, which was really good.
I’d say that 85% of the beach is covered by the sun beds for rental. The remaining part is public, so people can lay down on the sand on their own towels.
The water is beautiful, clean, and transparent. However, a bit cold in October.

The place is conveniently located if one wants to go to the beach or to visit the city of Mykonos where all the buzz is. One can use the bus or rent car, scooter or ATV. Mykonos is expensive, so be prepared to pay 36 Euro for a 3km Uber drive.

The staff were very friendly and helpful in recommendations and organising transfers. The buffet breakfast had a good selection with coffee to order. The location is excellent being directly on the beach. You did however have to be early to get a good spot the sunbed, and if you wanted something quieter the use of the pools at their sister hotel across the street. There is a good selection of other bars and resturants along the beach front, and the bus to Mykonos center is 2 mins from the hotel and 10-15 mins away depending on the traffic.
Very cozy and charming place. Everything was nice and clean and only few minutes walk to the beach. Antonio who is managing the property was very resourceful in explaining how to take bus, what places are great to eat at, what to see in Mykonos. The place has beach towels, espresso machine, little kitchenette.. it also has a little outdoor area with a coffee table surrounded by trees. it was a nice place in the shade to have a morning coffee or read a book during high sun.
I had an extra day in Mykonos and chose this boutique hotel for one night because of its inclusion of breakfast and free transfer from the port. I only wish I had booked my whole stay here. The value for money was outstanding. Great location as it was a five minute walk to one of Mykonos' most beautiful beaches, the room was impressive and very minimalist chic. For someone who was on a bit of a budget I found this hotel excellent value for money.
The property exceeded our expectations! The pool and sun lounges provided were so good we never wanted to leave the hotel! The bar at the pool at everything you needed, great food and drinks right at your room! The staff were all so friendly and kind, such a welcoming family owned and run business. The location is perfect, 2 minute walk from Platis Gialos beach and restaurants and the bus stop to go into Mykonos town. 10/10 recommend!!
A wonderful experience, a great spot, with 2 pools and lots of space to lounge. The bar and small outdoor restaurant on site had great fresh food and open long hours. The hotel was fully booked but felt quiet and very private. The air con was excellent in our room, as was the wifi. Overall there was a relaxed welcoming atmosphere and not as commercial as other Mykonos spots.
A 8 minute easy walk to the beach with plenty of tavernas.
This hotel exceeded our expectations we stayed at a few hotels on the island and this was the best place! The balcony we had has the most amazing sea view and was so relaxing! The pool is huge and very clean. Our rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard! The owners were very welcoming. You are a few steps away from the beach and you can also easily get a bus to Mykonos town. You cannot fault this hotel at all 😁
The hotel is right by the Platis Gialos beach and the bus stop for the bus to/back from Mykonos town is right outside the hotel. Being the last stop on the bus route, you can always get a seat on the bus! The beach bag upon check-in was a nice touch, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A family-friendly location with nice amenities.
Cute clean place, far from the beach. You need to rent car or bike if you want move on the Mykonos.
Expensive, but I think it’s more about Mykonos, not about the hotel. Anyway would be nice if the hotel provide drink water when you pay 190$ per day :)
Nice surroundings, nice facilities. It is nos walking distance from downtown Mykonos, bout the surroundings and the beach is excellent, wonderful. Also recommend to enjoy the Greek food at Nico, just perfect. 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
Very hospitable hosts. The room was immaculate with a large balcony. The pool is good and the breakfast was substantial. The hotel is very relaxed and chilled, close to the beach and there is a bus right outside that takes you into Mykonos town.
position close to Plato’s Gyalos beach and restaurants, outstanding view, AC, quiet , access to semiprivate beach down some stairs , private (free) parking space, 10 min walk to direct bus to Mykonos town ( 15 min ride , faster than in taxi)
Breakfast has a good selection and fresh fruits.
Hotel private beach is beautiful and prices for the bar are reasonible (for Mykonos).
There is a minimarket in the beach, you can buy drinks and snacks there to save some time
We loved that it was right on the beach. Breakfast was amazing! Loved our sunbed! Loved the pool area. We were 6 people and the hotel arranged transfers for everywhere we wanted to go. We had a fabulous time here.
Remarkable Experience, Amazing View, Easy access to the city and beaches. Great Team, very well trained. Customer Service & Courtesy Beyond Expectation.

Brilliant Hotel in a lovely location. 2 minutes walk to a great beach with a number of restaurants. Staff were excellent. The spa was lovely. €20 each way in a cab to Mykonos town arranged by the hotel.
